The Government of Andhra Pradesh is providing financial assistance to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Backward Class, Disabled, and Economically Backward Class students studying post matriculation courses on saturation approach to enable them to complete their educate

Students Eligible :

Students who belong to the categories of SC (including BC-C), ST, BC, EBC and DW (Disabled) having annual parental income of Rupees One Lakh or below.
Students whose attendance is 75% at the end of each quarter.

Students not Eligible :

Students belonging to the categories other than SC, ST, BC, EBC and DW(Disabled).
Whose parental income is more than Rupees One lakh.
All Students pursuing the part time courses, online courses.
Students admitted under Sponsored seats, Management Quota seats.
Students drawing the stipend more than the scholarship amount in aggregate per annum.
Students of BC, EBC and DW students studying the Courses offered by open universities, distant mode, category B seats in MBBS, BDS.
EBC students studying Intermediate or equivalent courses

APGLI SLIPS

The APGLI Department is one of the oldest departments in the State. The Scheme was originally started in 1907 by the Nizam of erstwhile State of Hyderabad for the welfare of his employees.
A Management Committee used to run the scheme initially in the name of Family Pension Fund. Later the scheme was renamed as Hyderabad State Life Insurance Fund in the year 1913.
•After formation of Andhra Pradesh state in 1956, the scheme was changed as "ndhra Pradesh Government Life Insurance Fund". The first Managing Committee meeting after formation of Andhra Pradesh State consisting of 4 members, one Secretary and a President was held on 25-9-1957 and Sri B.Gopala Reddi, the then Honorable Finance Minister was President of the meeting.
•APGLI Scheme is a Social Security Measure for the welfare of the Government employees and is mandatory for all Government employees and provincialised Local Body employees.
•APGLI Department is under the Administrative Control of Finance Department.
